Join us to map the customer journey applicable to your own project or an example given by the facilitator. We are going to walk through a framework that helps companies truly understand their customers and identify their hypotheses. During the workshop, you will be able to identify the best ways to reach your target market, turn this target market into paying customers, and measure the results of your marketing initiatives.

Facilitator: Melanie Jones is the President of Marketing Interface, which she founded in 2014 to help growth-stage companies achieve their business goals by better understanding the customer journey. Prior to pursuing her entrepreneurial vision, Melanie was Director of Marketing at the SURGE Accelerator SURGE Ventures), managing everything from marketing and PR to communications and events. Melanie holds a BA in International Development from McGill University, Montreal, and an MBA from Rice University, Houston. She is a member of numerous industry associations and an active mentor at Rice University’s OwlSpark program and the University of Houston’s RED Labs.

Directions & Parking:

The Liu Idea Lab is in the new Cambridge Building, which is behind the Allen Center and across from Lovett Hall. We suggest you enter Rice University through entrance #3 off of Main Street, onto Cambridge. The building is the first building on your right. Take a right at the first stop sign (as soon as you turn into campus), and follow the road around to the parking garage. The Liu Idea Lab is on the first floor in the building attached to the garage. Go through the lobby and we are at the back of the building.
